Yes its finally here Carb Cycling, the event all bakers look forward to at the end of the financial year when they peddle there little hearts out to get there high carb wears to the marketplace before the other bakers.
Not really

Get your Carbcyles quick
Its all about changing your carbohydrate intake from day to day depending on how active you are going to be.
So here it goes, think about what you have planned for the day ahead. Are you going to be sitting behind a computer all day long or will you be out and about and getting the blood flowing.
You can now modify your carbohydrate intake depending on your activity level. If you’re behind your computer all days answering emails avoid eating too many carbohydrates as an activity level of nothing will probably end up with your storing those carbohydrates into your fat storage.
For someone who is going to be more active during the day this can give you an excuse to consume for carbohydrates as you will be using this as your primary energy source.
Testing your Carbohydrate Tolerance
Ok so some of you probably feel awful when you reduce your carb intake, you may feel totally weak , tired or start to feel dizzy. This just means your body relies heavily on carbs for an energy source and for these people keeping carb intake high but not high is alright.
Now there may be some of you who eat carbs and then feel awful with the same dizziness, and tiredness some get from lack of carbs. To assess your carbohydrate tolerances, once you wake up have a large carbohydrate meal for breakfast. If you feel great after that or you feel like your about to nod off to sleep is a great indicator of how well you tolerate carbohydrates.
Also to note if your someone who sits behind a desk all day but finds carbs a neccessity go for the more low GI carbs to give a steady energy release. Something with wholegrains or some good old fashioned Oats are a great way to go.
It’s not a revolutionary idea, its just behind the idea of only eat what your body needs , there’s no such thing as seconds for the body, it will store that seconds for another day and it will take some work to get rid of it.

- hooray for my carb cycle:P
Get on ya Carb-Cycle:) Its a great alternative to the energy draining low carb diet!
