So whether it be hayfever season or during the winter months I always seemed to have stuffed up sinus’s. So I will go through the main things that keep the stuffy feeling away for me.

Number 1.

Horseradish Garlic & C

The winning combination for fighting hayfever it also usually comes with added marshmallow root and fenugreek. This combination is great as it helps to fight mucus developing and boosting the immune system and will temporarily relieve the symptoms of hay fever and cold without nasty products like sudafed or any sort of antihistamine product.

Just a little run down on histamines, when your body comes it contact with allergens or things it doesn’t like:P it releases histamines which cause the classic symptoms of runny nose, watery & itchy eyes. By blocking the release of histamines we prevent the symptoms from popping up. It may be the last option for some people or maybe even the first but I like to keep it natural if possible.

Onions can also be great at relieving congestion

Number 2

A steamer or vaporizer

A product I cannot live without in the summer months and the colder months. When it comes to hayfever I usually try and hide away from that nasty pollen so i will often turn on my steamer to make sure all floating pollen and dust particles drop from the air to avoid me breathing them up my nose.

It is also great for clearning the sinus’s when you add some menthol, eucylptus oil or vicks. If you dont have a steamer ofcourse the old fashioned steam bowl with a towel over your head works fine.

Number 3.

Air Purfiier

I recently starting looking into air purifier and ended up buying an affordable HEPA filter as they apparently filter out 99.9% of particles floating in the air:P I dunno about that but with it running 3-4 hours a day in my room I definitely felt a difference.

For hayfever sufferers a HEPA filter would be preferred over an ion purifier as that simply changes the charge on dust and pollen particles and they will stick to your walls, eventually drop off and have another chance of racing up your nose.

Hepa Air Purifier , An Added UV filter can be great at killing bacteria/pollen

Good luck hay fever sufferer’s I feel your pain

Now a great remedy for those of you who find your hair being dull , lifeless and generally weak and simply annoying as it doesn’t do what you want it to do.

Sometimes people will go to there hairdresser or saloon and get a special hair treatment done along with the use of a hair steamer or even buy a product they can use at home. Sometimes you just want something simple and here is is.

Natural Egg Wash

Its a natural egg wash and its exactly what it sounds like get two eggs and mix them in a bowl with a little warm water.

Now wet your hair so its damp but not too wet with warm/lukewarm water then simply massage the egg mixture into your scalp and hair. I know it will be quite messy but get as much of it to stay on your scalp and hair as possible.

Once you have applied the mixture. Cover your scalp with a shower cap and then towel wrap it. Leave for 15 minutes to 1 hour then simply follow with your regular routine in the shower or use a gentle shampoo.

The egg will bring life back into your hair, will add moisture and make it appear shiny. The egg wash is great as eggs are high in amino acids and vitamins and minerals great for the scalp. Including two amino’s especially important for healthy skin and hair l-cysteine and l-methionine.

and remember to wash your towel wrap after your done cause old egg can smell awful after a while:P reaally awful. give it a try and save your dry lifeless hair also great for removing stubborn dandruff.
