Not sure if anyone has looked into buying a steamer if you have you have probably come across a cheap version for your countertop which looks like this

So first of all it is a lot cheaper than any of the other hair steamers out there and mostly because it is counter top hair steamer and maybe because it it is made in china and generally looks quite cheap. You don’t really need to spend heaps on a steamer all you need is one that can produce a nice burst of mist to bring moisture to your scalp.

For some general info on hair steamers you can visit my post HERE

Parts

The parts are generally quite cheap and you have to assemble the head dome but its really quite simple to put together. The boiler is also very strong and heats up the water tank very quickly in about 15 seconds its up and going.

Effectiveness

This steamer has been very useful for bringing moisture to my scalp and keeping away dandruff, the only downside I would say about this steamer is that it does not come with a variable temperature or steam options, so sometimes the heat coming from the steamer can get way too hot.

The other downside is that it says in the manual to use the steamer for no longer than 10 minutes at a time, so u can empty the condensation buildup, I solved this problem by attaching a small hose that feeds into a water bottle to solve this problem.

With a full tank you can run the steamer for around 20 – 25 minutes. And a warning alarm will go off when the tank is too low or high.

Overall for someone on a budget it is a worthwhile purchase for shiny locks and healthy scalp. you can grab it off amazon or eBay, i got mine off ebay for around $40 US so it was a bargain for me:)

So my itchy scalp was driving me a little banana’s for a while saw the Goody’s copper infused dandruff brush for sale on amazon and it was pretty cheap so I decided to get it.

Copper

The main idea behind this copper brush is that copper is well known for killing bacteria and fungus , so it would make sense that it will help yeast issues with your scalp if this is the cause of your dandruff.

Results

To be honest after a few months of use with this brush I would have to say there has not been any great change in my dandruff issues, but dont right it off straight away as it still a great brush , nicely built with strong metal bristles.

Combing your hair in general will help your dandruff as it will remove little bits of dandruff stuck to your scalp, letting your scalp breath easier and of course improving circulation to roots and scalp. So I did notice a little improvement but it was probably due to me combing my hair for the first time in years:)

I would give this brush 3.5/5

Now a great remedy for those of you who find your hair being dull , lifeless and generally weak and simply annoying as it doesn’t do what you want it to do.

Sometimes people will go to there hairdresser or saloon and get a special hair treatment done along with the use of a hair steamer or even buy a product they can use at home. Sometimes you just want something simple and here is is.

Natural Egg Wash

Its a natural egg wash and its exactly what it sounds like get two eggs and mix them in a bowl with a little warm water.

Now wet your hair so its damp but not too wet with warm/lukewarm water then simply massage the egg mixture into your scalp and hair. I know it will be quite messy but get as much of it to stay on your scalp and hair as possible.

Once you have applied the mixture. Cover your scalp with a shower cap and then towel wrap it. Leave for 15 minutes to 1 hour then simply follow with your regular routine in the shower or use a gentle shampoo.

The egg will bring life back into your hair, will add moisture and make it appear shiny. The egg wash is great as eggs are high in amino acids and vitamins and minerals great for the scalp. Including two amino’s especially important for healthy skin and hair l-cysteine and l-methionine.

and remember to wash your towel wrap after your done cause old egg can smell awful after a while:P reaally awful. give it a try and save your dry lifeless hair also great for removing stubborn dandruff.
